MULTIPLY

Expanding the Reach of the Gospel

God has done more through Frankenmuth Bible Church than we ever could have imagined.

What began in 1981 as a small Bible study has grown into a church reaching people from communities throughout our region. Today, well over 1,300 people gather with us on an average Sunday, many traveling significant distances to worship, grow, serve, and be part of what God is doing here.

We are incredibly grateful for all God has done.

And now, we believe He may be inviting us to take another step of faith.

Multiply is a two-year generosity initiative designed to position Frankenmuth Bible Church to expand the reach of the gospel into new communities.

WHY MULTIPLY?

Every week, people drive to Frankenmuth from communities across our region to be part of FBC.

Back home are friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors who may never make that same drive—but who desperately need the hope of Jesus.

So we began asking a question:

What if God is giving us an opportunity not only to bring people to Frankenmuth, but to bring the ministry of our church closer to where they already live?

We believe God may be opening the door for us to take what He has built here and extend it outward—to establish a presence in communities where relationships already exist, where our people are already living and serving, and where new opportunities to reach people for Christ are right in front of us.

Not simply to reach more people in Frankenmuth, but to reach more people throughout our region.

THE VISION

We want to see what God has done here multiplied

We believe the next chapter for Frankenmuth Bible Church is not simply about gathering more people in one place.

It is about expanding the reach of the gospel by taking what God has built here and multiplying it into new communities.

Our desire is to establish new locations where people can experience the same commitment to:

  • Biblical teaching

  • Meaningful worship

  • Strong ministry to children and families

  • Authentic relationships

  • Opportunities to grow and serve

Each campus would have a dedicated ministry team, including a Campus Pastor who preaches live each week, live worship, kids ministry, and people from FBC helping establish the campus within its community.

But multiplication is about more than opening another location.

We are mobilizing our church to reach their community for Christ.

Our hope is that new campuses will create opportunities for people to live on mission where God has already placed them—among their friends, neighbors, coworkers, and families.

And while our first new campus is an important next step, our vision is bigger than one location.

We want to see what God has done here multiplied throughout our region.

WHERE WILL WE BEGIN?

Over the past year, we have held a series of regional gatherings with people from across our church and identified several locations to explore for future campuses.

At this point, the Birch Run / Clio region is our primary area of focus as we consider where to launch our first campus.

We already have a strong core of people living in this area, along with existing relationships and opportunities for ministry.

A final location has not yet been determined. We will continue prayerfully evaluating the right community, facility, leadership, and timing as the vision moves forward.

Wherever we begin, our desire remains the same:
to establish a healthy, gospel-centered church presence that can reach and serve its community for years to come.

HOW DO WE GET THERE?

$2 Million | Two Years | One Shared Mission

The vision is to multiply.

To take that step, we need to both remove a significant obstacle and invest in the opportunity in front of us.

Multiply is a two-year generosity initiative with a goal of giving approximately $2 million above and beyond our regular giving.

Those resources would be used in two primary ways:

1. Eliminate approximately $1.2 million in mortgage debt

Our mortgage represents a significant ongoing expense that limits our ability to sustainably support another campus.

Eliminating that debt removes the mortgage payment and allows those resources to be redirected toward the ongoing staffing, facility, and ministry costs of a new campus.

But paying off debt is not the goal.

Multiplication is the goal.

2. Invest approximately $800,000 in launching our first new campus

Launching a healthy campus requires intentional investment from the beginning.

These resources will help provide for needs such as:

  • Facility preparation

  • Technology and AVL

  • Furnishings

  • Signage

  • Ministry equipment

  • Staffing and launch needs

We want to give the new campus the people, tools, ministry environments, and resources it needs to begin strong.

With a successful campaign, we have the opportunity to trade our debt for a new campus.

A TWO-YEAR JOURNEY

Multiply is not a one-day offering or a short-term project.

It is a two-year commitment our church family is making together.

Each person and family is invited to prayerfully consider what God may be leading them to give above and beyond their regular giving during the campaign.

Our goal is not for everyone to give the same amount.

Our goal is for each of us to prayerfully consider what faithful, generous, and sacrificial participation looks like.

Some will give more. Some will give less.

Every gift matters.

Together, our generosity can accomplish far more than any one person or family could accomplish alone.

YOUR PART IN MULTIPLY

Multiply is a shared opportunity for our church family to take a step of faith together.

There are several ways each of us can participate:

PRAY
Ask God to guide our church, prepare the right people, open the right doors, and make His will clear as we move forward.

GIVE
Prayerfully consider how God may be leading you to give above and beyond your regular giving toward Multiply over the two-year campaign.

SERVE
Everyone has a part to play. For some, serving may eventually mean joining the core team that helps launch a new campus. For others, it will mean continuing to serve faithfully in Frankenmuth as people are sent out.

GO
As God opens doors, some within our church may have the opportunity to become part of the core team that establishes a new campus and reaches a new community.
Wherever God has placed you, you have a part to play.
